The campus visit checklist you will actually use.
What to observe, who to speak to and what to note while you are on campus.

Go with a purpose
Prepare questions about your intended programme and the everyday student experience. Check visiting arrangements with the institution. If possible, visit during a normal teaching day so you can understand the routine.
Look at learning spaces
Ask to see the classrooms, library and relevant laboratories. Notice whether students can access the facilities outside scheduled sessions and what support is available when equipment or software is unfamiliar.
Understand daily life
Explore accommodation options, food, transport and student support. Ask about grievance channels and emergency support. Talk to current students without assuming that one account represents everyone.
Write down the trade-offs
After the visit, record what you observed separately from what you were told. Follow up on unanswered questions through official channels. Compare your notes with your priorities before making a decision.
