Privacy Policy
1. About this policy
This policy describes how College Dostana handles information in connection with collegedostana.com and the services you choose to use. For privacy questions or requests, contact collegedostana52@gmail.com.
College Dostana publishes educational information and student resources. You do not need to provide personal details simply to read the public blog.
2. Information you provide
When you email us, submit an enquiry, create an account or request a service, we receive the information you provide through that interaction. This can include your contact details, the content of your enquiry and information needed for the service you request. The relevant form or request should explain the information needed and its purpose.
For academic or study-abroad assistance, provide only the information requested for that service. Do not send passwords, one-time passwords or payment-card security codes by email or through public comments.
3. Website usage information
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources and engagement with articles. Analytics may use cookies and process browser, device and interaction information. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or telephone numbers to Google Analytics.
Our hosting and content-delivery services may process technical request information to deliver and protect the website. Some article images load from Unsplash. Your browser sends connection information to external services when requesting their content.
Article search currently runs within your browser. The copy-link feature uses the browser’s clipboard when you select the copy button.
4. How we use information
- Respond to enquiries and provide services you request.
- Administer accounts and service-related communications, where applicable.
- Understand site performance and improve content.
- Handle payment or service queries through the relevant providers.
- Send marketing messages where permitted and according to your communication choices.
- Address security concerns, disputes and applicable legal requirements.
5. Student information and third parties
We do not sell student information or share student contact details and academic records with colleges, coaching centres or other partners for their independent admission enquiries or marketing.
This does not mean that no external service processes information. Hosting, analytics, communications, video and payment services may receive information when used to deliver the website or a requested service. Their processing depends on the service and your interaction with it.
We do not treat a request for study-abroad guidance as permission to send your documents to an institution. If a future service involves submitting information to a university or another recipient, we will explain the recipient, purpose and information involved before proceeding and obtain any required permission.
Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or a lawful request. This policy does not give unrelated parties blanket permission to contact students.
6. Cookies, analytics and embedded services
You can manage cookies using your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some services. Browser cookie settings do not necessarily stop all technical requests or processing by external services.
Learn more about Google’s use of information from partner websites and the Google Privacy Policy.
Where Facebook Pixel or YouTube/API features are used, those services may process information about the interaction under their own terms and privacy policies. See Meta’s Privacy Policy, Google’s Privacy Policy and YouTube’s Terms of Service. The relevant service should identify any additional information collected and any choices available.
7. Payments and external forms
Where a payment is required, review the payment provider’s notice before entering payment information. Do not send full card details, PINs or security codes to our contact email.
Our articles may link to third-party application forms, Google Drive resources, examination portals and other websites. Information you submit directly on those services is handled by the relevant operator. Check the recipient and privacy notice before submitting a form; a link from College Dostana does not mean we operate that service.
8. Marketing and recorded communications
You can ask us to stop marketing messages by using any unsubscribe option supplied or emailing our privacy contact. Essential replies about an enquiry or an ongoing service may still be necessary.
Where a call is recorded, we will notify participants before recording and obtain consent where required. The recording notice should explain its purpose. Contact us if you have a question about a recording or want to request an alternative communication channel.
9. Retention and security
Information should be retained only for as long as needed for its stated purpose, relevant recordkeeping requirements or resolving disputes. You may ask us about the retention of information associated with your enquiry or service. Retention by external services is also governed by their settings and applicable terms.
We aim to protect information against unauthorised access, use and disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. This policy does not claim that particular audits, certifications or security controls have been independently verified.
10. Your requests and choices
You can contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of information you have provided, to withdraw consent where applicable, or to raise a privacy concern. The rights available and any exceptions depend on applicable law. We may need to verify your identity in a proportionate manner before acting on a request.
Please describe your request and the service involved. Do not include unnecessary identity documents or sensitive information in your initial email. We will explain any information needed to handle the request.
11. Younger users
Our educational content may be read by school students. A parent or guardian can contact us about information a child has submitted. Services involving children’s personal information must follow applicable age and parental-permission requirements. Please avoid posting children’s contact details or documents publicly.
12. Updates and contact
We will revise this page when our practices change and display the update date. Where additional notice or consent is required, changing this page alone will not replace that requirement.
