One small project can change your first year.
Start with a real problem, build a simple solution and learn by making it better.
Find a small problem
Look for a repeated inconvenience in your own routine. A study planner, a simple expense tracker or a resource directory can be a useful starting point. Keep the first version narrow enough to finish.
Define what done means
Write down the one thing your project should do. Sketch the flow and choose tools you can learn in the available time. Avoid adding features before the essential task works.
Ask someone to try it
Watch a friend use the project without coaching every step. Note where they hesitate and ask what confused them. Improve the most important issue before polishing small visual details.
Document your learning
Record the problem, decisions, screenshots and limitations. Explain what you built yourself and what you adapted. A clear account of the learning process turns a small project into a useful portfolio piece.
